Royal College Past Teachers’ Association held a simple

Royal College Past Teachers’ Association held a simple but a well-organized ceremony on the 3rd January 2016 at 10.30am in the dining hall of the hostel of Royal College Colombo to award scholarships to ten students who performed well at the grade five scholarship examination. The students were selected with the guidance of the school authorities from those who excelled at this examination with a family background who needed financial backing to educate their children.
As a social obligation towards the society this scholarship programme was inaugurated in 2013 with six scholarships being offered. This year it has increased up to ten with the generosity of our very own members who contribute financial assistance for the upkeep of these students till they complete their studies in school.
